It did not advance when we went on daylight saving time

  • ggrvg1 May 08, 2011

You suggested turning the right knob to advance the time one hour I cannot turn the knob it is
too small and slippery.even using small pliers.

  • ggrvg1 May 11, 2011

The reason I'm not satisfied Is that you keep telling me to twist the right knob and I tell you I I can not. The watch is radio controlled. The signal needs to come from the Company that controlls the watch. I can not find that co.

I agree unless this is a digital watch that has a daylight savings feature then you need to do this on your own (manually) this is typically don't by pulling the watch dial out '1' click to allow the dials to free spin. if the dial is too small for you to grip to pull out then you will need to use a small flat head screw driver to pry the dial out to the free spinning 'time adjust' mode.

The watch may need to be changed manually. You can set the watch by twisting the knob on the right side to make the hands move. In most cases, watches do not change automatically because of daylight savings time. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them. Hope this helps!

Skmei watch 1163- Daylight savings time- how to set

To set the Daylight Savings Time on your SKMEI 1163 watch, first press and hold the "MODE" button for approximately three seconds until the "SET" mode appears. Then, press the "MODE" button again until you reach the "DST" mode. Use the "ALARM ON/OFF" button to toggle between "ON" and "OFF" for Daylight Savings Time. Once you have set your desired option, press the "MODE" button again to confirm and exit the setting mode. Your watch should now display the correct time, accounting for Daylight Savings Time.

How to set time on GPS watch

From your comment I have no idea what watch you have! The more infromation you provide, the likelier it is we will have a solution. However, in general, watches cannot tell if you live in a spot on the globe that uses daylight savings time. You have to enter that information. Go into your settings and see if you can turn on Daylight Savings. The watch should set the time automatically at some point, occasionally takes some time. Only a part of the world uses daylight savings, invented by Ben Franklin to save energy(coal oil) just like today!

I have a Westclox, Calander Model 70026. I have set the clock several times to the correct time,(with the time zone at the proper setting) but, after a day or so, the hour reading, reverts back...

It's most likely because of Daylight Saving Time. Your clock receives a signal through the air once a day from the actual atomic clock, much like a cell phone receives the time from your cell phone service provider, and it automatically resets itself to the exact time each time it receives this signal. Remember that the middle of the year (the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November in the US) is Daylight Saving Time for much of the United States. The clock has an option that allows you to set whether you are observing Daylight Saving Time or not. If this is set to "off", the time will be one hour behind until Daylight Saving Time ends (November 7th). Make sure this is set properly, and your problem will be solved.

Casio wave ceptor wvq 202hdu ibver

I don't have wvq 202hdu but I have a waveceptor that had the same problem. After not being able to find a solution online, I went back and started playing with it and I figured it out on my wva-430a. Hopefully my instruction helps:

The problem is that the daylight saving time is set to ON (or maybe OFF) whereas it has to be set on Automatic (A). To change that on my wva-430a, I held the "Adjust/Display" button for three seconds. It showed "US 60" for me. Then I used the "Mode/Select" button to go to the next screen which shows CHI for Chicago (Central Time). Here you have to choose the city that corresponds to your time zone. Again by pressing "Mode/Select" it took me to the next screen which was the daylight saving option. The choices were ON/OF/A that could be cycled by pressing "Receiving/Set+" button. Set it to "A" for automatic. Then press Adjust/Display to see the last option for 12H/24H setting. Press Adjust/Display one more time to go out of the settings menu. Your watch should adjust itself immediately.
