Sounds like a faulty switch on the float. Try to hold the switch up by hand and see if it stays running, if so you may need to lube the switch. If not then it sounds like a manufacturer defect and needs to be returned.

I have a Simer 2305 and the pump will run but does not when the water is low?

Pumps such as the Simer 2305 do not pump water totally down to ground level. They are designed so they do not suck up debris , sediment, etc, which can clog and ruin the pump. So if your pump leaves an inch or so of water, that is normal.

I bought a new SIMER smart geyser #2330-03 submersible utility pump a couple of weeks ago. I plugged it in today and it does not stay running. There is about 4 inches of water in my basement and it keeps...

sounds like it has a blockage may check inlet also

If the outlet of the discharge hose/pipe is

submerged you must have a 1/8" hole in the discharge
hose/pipe to prevent airlock. This hole must be open to air.

I have a Flotech FPOS1790PCA Pool pump that will run for 15 seconds and then shut off...how do I get it to stay running?

I have the same model and found that it frequently shuts off when it gets too much pine needles clogging the strainer.
I have unscrew the bottom "skirt" almost once a month and clean it out.

Good luck!

What kind of is used in a simer submersible

The Simer brand of submersible dewatering pumps rely on being fully submersed in water for proper cooling and for the seals to remain water tight and effective.

According to the manufacturer, there is no oil used in the pump, other than a very small amount that was used in assembling the pump at the factory, so you shouldn't oil the pump, but rather follow the recommendations as to making sure the pump is installed properly.

Here's the owners manual for your particular pump (Model #2300) so you can check the troubleshooting FAQ's and so you can also contact the manufacturer, should you need replacement parts or need to make a warranty claim, etc.

Pump keeps turning off

this pump needs about 21/4" of water to operate properly, this pump will not remove all the water from the cover and will cycle on and off as it looses prime. If the motor turns completely off, it may be a an issue with low line voltage. you can try using a lager gauge extension cord to try and fix it, otherwise have an electrician test the line voltage.

Here is a pdf of the manual:

take a tie strap and readjust the float,, lower the float so it won't let the float get to the top of the pump or zip tie it to the pipe away from the pump,, you don't need a new pump or switch
