My remote fell off the couch last night. The screen looks fine and does not appear to be damaged BUT it no longer controls anything.
When you press any button, the little display shows that a signal is sent BUT nothing happens. That is, it no longer turns on any device, adjust volume, change channels etc.
Also, when I wiggle the remote, I can hear something rattle on the inside towards the top of it. I suspect the transmitter is broken or loose.
Any suggestions ?
Doug
You will have to open the unit up and repair whatever broke.
When this has happened in the past to less complex remotes, I have found that usually the oscillator chip has broken off of the circuit board, but whatever it is will have to be resoldered back into its original position.
If you have never worked on electronics before, you will have to take it to a repair shop, send it to the manufacturer, have a knowledgeable friend repair it or buy a new one.

I have the Harmony 890 Pro and everything looks fine on the remote screen however when buttons are pressed, nothing happens on the components. You cannot turn components on/off, volume, etc... I can hear a small loose piece of material in the remote when you shake it lightly.
Logitech is completely useless for tech support and refuse to help you if your remote is over 60 days old. Thoughts?
