Hi.
I'm guessing that you are running windows xp on it.
First, right click on your display and select properties.
This will give you the display properties box.
Next, select windows xp on the drop down for themes and click apply.
Next, click on the tab that says appearance.
Where it says windows and buttons, click on the drop down and select windows xp style.
Below that under color scheme, select which color set that you want it to be.
There are three choices, I think.
Should be like blue, silver, and green.
After you have chose the color for that, click apply again.
This should restore all the regular colors back to your computer.
Now, if you want to change your background pic on your display, then click on the tab that says desktop.
Then select the picture that you want, and over on the right side, select stretch where it says position.
Now click apply again.
Your computer should now look exactly the way you are wanting !
I hope this helps you out.
Good luck to you, and have a good day!
You should be able to go into display properties and select Windows Classic as the theme.
Right click on Desktop
Select Properties
On Theme tab select Windows Classic and then click apply.
If you have customized the Windows Classic theme and saved as Windows Classic, then you will need to edit the registry to remove those customizations. If this is the case, reply to this solution and I will research and let you know where to make the changes. Beware that incorrectly modifying the registry can cause the system to not boot or have other problems.
Best of luck, Jim
Open Personalization by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Personalization.
Click Window Color and Appearance.
Under Window Color and Appearance, click the color you want, and then click OK.
Note
If you see the Appearance Settings dialog box instead of the Window Color and Appearance
window, the theme might not be set to Windows Vista, the color scheme might not be set to Windows Aero, or the computer might not meet the minimum hardware requirements for running Windows Aero. For more information, see Troubleshoot problems with Windows Aero.
hope this helps
