No, it looks like 'Steemer' is a misnomer and a play on words. If you use hot water on a cold day, you might get steam.

The 10 digit serial number on ALL G series Kirbys (G3, G4, G5, G6, Ultimate G, Diamond Edition and Sentria) is engraved into the aluminum on the side of the Kirby, right above where the cloth bag attaches to the machine. This serial number contains the EXACT manufacture date of the machine.
The first number in the serial number will be a 1, 2, 3 or 4 and pertains to the quarter of the year in which the machine was manufactured. The second and third number is the year of manufacture.
FOR EXAMPLE.... in the serial number 1071104984, the machine was manufactured in the first quarter of the year 2007.
The G4 models were manufactured from 1993-96.
My G4 80th Anniversary edition doesn't seem to fit this, however. It's 8941106700. I suspect it's got a replacement handle.

go to profiles on the menu(its the screen and music note icon), hit edit (left button) when you have the list of profiles, and you can edit any of the profiles for the phone (general, meeting, indoor etc) The keypad sound is on "key beep"... set it to silent and save. Now no more beeping!

Don't have a manual on how to convert the vacuum to the Carpet Cleaning System for the Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition.

The best lace to get the owner’s manual for the Carpet Cleaning System for the Kirby Ultimate G Diamond Edition is to contact the Kirby factory cust serv dept and give them the model # and serial # is needed and they should be able to send out an owner’s manual for you as per the conversion t the carpet cleaning system. Problem: I lost my manual. How do I use my vacuum on hard wood floors? How do I use attachments, where do they attach?

Kirby Ultimate Diamond Edition
You can cal the Kirby factory to request a new owner’s manual and they will describe how to use the vacuum on hardwood floors. There is a felt piece as wide as the brushroll area that will clip on to the bottom of the revolving brush area so that you hard wood floors don’t get scratched. The Kirby head will dial off and the Kirby head will come off and the attachment hose will connect to the front of the Kirby and that is how you use the attachments. Also contact your local Kirby vac dealer.
