My Panasonic RQ-2102 cassette player sounds wonky. The speed and pitch changes a lot. Sometimes the head don't spin at all. Any thoughts?

The symptoms you describe on your Panasonic RQ-2102 cassette player are indicative of a problem with the playback mechanism, most likely related to the motor or the belt that drives it. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix the issue:
  1. Check the belt: Open the cassette player and look for the belt that drives the playback mechanism. If the belt is loose, broken, or worn, it can cause the speed and pitch to fluctuate or the head not to spin at all. In that case, you may need to replace the belt.
  2. Clean the playback head: Use a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol to clean the playback head. Dirt and debris can accumulate on the head and cause playback issues.
  3. Check the motor: The motor that drives the playback mechanism may be faulty or damaged. If the motor is not spinning at the correct speed, it can cause the speed and pitch to fluctuate. In that case, you may need to replace the motor.
  4. Lubricate the mechanism: The playback mechanism may need lubrication. Use a small amount of silicone lubricant on the moving parts of the mechanism to reduce friction and improve performance.
If these steps don't fix the issue, it may be necessary to take your cassette player to a repair shop for further inspection and repair.

Could be a scratch/dirty speed potentiometer that controls your speed/pitch control.

2000 Honda 1.6 showing P1336 code, what is the location of this code?

Only two things I have seen cause this code, the first is the crank sensor harness not routed correctly after a timing belt job or alt. replacement and the alt. belt rubs it or the timing belt has jumped a tooth or is not lined up correctly.

I got the problem for my Panasonic 21 TV (CRT type) where's Vertical line across picture tube when the brighness adjust high. The vertical I.C already changing. Any solution > Thank you

Hello
Have you recently replaced its Line Output Transformer [LOT]?. If so have you replaced it with same type and number? Verical bars are due to LOT to Deflection Yoke mismatching. It is known as "Yoke Rigging" technically. Replacing the vertical Ic won't help in this problem . If you have replaced the LOT, the replaced one is not orginal. Ok

Sound wavers (speeds up and slows down)

you need to replace the Pitch controls. I'm presuming it is a sliding pitch control. Use the Red start stop lights that reflect on the rotating wheel. put the pitch in center 0. does one row of the dots on the wheel stay completely still.now just turn it up op down a bit until it starts to move the dots slightly. now watch the dots now while there moving. Do they fluctuate they should be smoothe. do this on both decks to find out which one is fluctuating.
