There are a number of IC's in your synth. Traveling with it in and of itself wouldn't cause a problem, but rough handleing during travel may be. Always use a road case on your gear.
That said, you'd be best to take it to a repair shop to get it sorted out correctly.
I had an old organ/keyboard repair man tell me 95% of his repairs were diodes over 10 years old. Everything else was switches, capacitors & transformers. Hope that helps.
Probably not caused by the keyboard. It would be very unusual for only a few effects to be distorted. Check your amp, mixer, speakers, and other audio equipment that the keyboard is hooked to.
The manual is at:http://www.korguksupport.co.uk/upload/X50_OpGuide_E1.pdf if you don't have one. Try saving everything you want to save first if you know how to do that. Then initialize the keyboard. Follow the instructions on page 111 carefully. It sounds like you created an undesirable effect and accidently assigned the Pitch Bend Lock function to the effect. This parameter is explained on page 41 under Pitch Wheel Mod Wheel. Hope this helps.
