I was watching tv the other night. All of a sudden i heard a hissing sound then a pop..Next thing you know the screen went dark then I really couldn"t see anything and now I have a black screen with a little picture in a circle in the middle of the screen. Which you could barely see. What can I do to get this problem fixed. I do not want to buy a new TV. Please help!!!
You'll need to replace the Y sus & Z sus to complete the repair! The Y sus is what has made the z sus pop! Trust me! Also it is recommended to replace the Y drive or drives. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions! I'm more then happy to help you fix your TV!

This was from a 42HP66 Toshiba Plasma TV
We had a similar problem. Our television made a loud sound and then the picture went out. The television had sound and no picture. We called around to some service techs. It turned out to be two buffer boards that was in a kit. I do not know what the board #'s were. OUR cost us $586.00. The television works fine now. It was still cheaper than buying a new $1500.00 television.
The same down to a "t", but I did not hear hissing, just the pop!
