Depending on how new the system is, you should check with either the store or the manufacturer, and see if it is still in warranty. If not, and you would like to replace the drive, open up the unit, and pull out the old drive, look up the model number online, and order the same model/type. seeing this is a newer model, I believe it will be a sata drive, unless they made their own special connector for their own devices.

HDD mount failure on Toshiba 351c copier

"HDD mount" means it has an internal hard drive (HDD, or hard disk drive), and the copier has failed to "mount" (place in operation) that disk drive. That error means that the internal hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. It will very likely need to be a special proprietary hard drive, preloaded with some sort of operating system for the copier, and you'll need to get it from a dealer.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause this problem

follow the troubleshooting procedure a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every device and to have an end to be able work properly

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working also it could be a dirty computer clean all of the dust from your computer you could use a vacuum cleaner but whatever you use make absolutely sure there is no moisture gets to anything in your computer and before you touch anything be sure to wear an earth strap hope this helps

Hard disk error code 2000-0146

Hi,

If happens that's the message it gives you by the machine, most likely its already a hardware problem but if you want to make sure try to do HDD scan, you can just go to any computer local center have them check if the HDD failed and if it failed you can purchase a new one.

Says USB port problem...on 3 different computers

Without a bit more info, I can't say for sure. I have the same drive, it's been around for a while now and if yours has had a lot of use then I would expect it to fail soon. Has it been dropped? this could cause a bad connection between the internal drive and the usb/e-sata module or caused the HDD to fail. Have you tried a different usb cable? any printer usb cable would work. Finally, the internal HDD can be easily swapped/replaced by anybody confident with a screwdriver.
Hope this helps.

When i turn on my laptop it is telling me that there is no internal hard disk drive not found. To resolve this issue try to reseat the drive. Then it tells me there are no bootable devices--strike F1 to...

This seems the Hdd is Not getting Detected , First thing you can try is inserting the hdd back in the system and then get into Setup Utility by Pressing F2 and check whether the hdd is listed or not , If the HDD is not listed that means HDD has gone bad .you need to get a new HDD

I need a driver/firmware for this drive

the only reason for needing firmware for a HDD no matter what kind it is would be if the HDD has some kind of utility embedded on it
such as like one touch back up , I have never heard of an internal
HDD needing firmware . the HDD are static and need to be formatted before using them . other than that there isn't even
a driver , and I recommend if the internal drive does has some kind of utility on it don't use it especially for the master C: drive , the one
that holds your operating system , thus will cause critical errors
and make your computer fail .

XBOX has flashing red light, need to know how to fix the problem

You should be getting an error code on the screen. Depending on that code, you will need to fix it in different ways. If you're getting a hard drive error, you will need to mod the system with a mod chip and replace the hard drive. if it's an other error, you will need to replace the system. The easiest thing it to buy a mod chip. There are many solderless chips out there for under $40. If the lights are flashing yellow and red, then that means the av cable isn't connected.

Dp-01fx tascam

Since the unit powers up and displays an error message it means that the power supply is working to some extent. The hard drive is probably malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. The DP-01 I have uses an 40 pin IDE 3.5" hard drive so finding a replacement should be easy unless it needs special formatting like TIVO drives.

As for the first solution - why do you think a PC hard drive needs -5v? The PC drive power connector has four pins - two grounds, 5v and 12v.

How to move contents from computer default hard drive to external iOmega hard drive, to make computer faster

There is a program on the xp cd called Fastwiz- it will save all your profile data for you. Unfortunately it's REALLY slow and you would be better doing it by hand. If you want to do it by hand you will need to copy all the data in the Documents and settings folder for all the profiles, plus any other data that you will need to reload the drivers. I recommend saving the e-machines drivers directory.
Wiping and reloading the operating system is the best way to resolve problems with a slow system, and a faster bigger newer hard drive is a good idea too. E-machines have a tendency to just die after a year- be aware that you get what you pay for. Also adding more ram to this system will help too.
