THIS UNIT AFTER 3 YEARS WILL NOT RECGONISE AN ANTENA,THIS HAPPENS ON MY HOSE BASE,CAR BASE AND MY BOOM BOX, I HAVE REPLACED ALL HOME BASE,CAR BASE AND BOOM BOX AND ALL ANTENAS NOTHING HAS HELPED.......I'M SHURE ITS THE RECEIVER , I REALLY DONT WANT TO SPEND ANYMORE MONEY TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM ......PLEASE HELP.....YOURS TRULY....GLENN GALUS.....

well lots really, A/T box have huge list of causes.
My answer is USA cars here. (scans)
4-speed ZF 4HP16 automatic what is is this.
there is no 5th, so 5 is TCC lock up only but sure feels like it sure.
what to do is this.
1: check all fuses. (
2: scan the PCM for DTC errors P07xx errors
3: check oil level of box, by reading the glove box guide. , hot engine, in park at idle , fluid at top mark (hot) never ever overfill the transmission. or boom. happens.boom and doom;(yup)
skipping 3/4 gears causes. (my guess skips 3 and goes 4th+TCC)
transmission in limp home (scans tell why , so scan it) skips gears.
transmission bad speed sensor , scans told you which failed.
transmission some of 6 solenoids fail , again scans.
or worse, leaks inside the box (seals vast) cause the main gallery ATF pressure to not be correct for 3 or 4 clutch is bad.
3/4 gear is not flare or flash neutral right. just skips the gear
from 2 to 4 right shifc, huge engine RPM drop, that.?
most boxes (TCM logic) only allow TCC lockup on 4th gear.
so 3 is bad, skips. (but ZF boxes I do not know well, GM yes )
transmission= box , transbox. slangs.A/T box.
LISTING EVERY CAUSE IS SUPER LARGE LIST(stop)
HOW TO DIAGNOSE IT, IS WHAT IS TO BE DONE
AND THEN IF there are ON car cures, and above is my list.
even 1 bad $1 seal deep inside a box can make it fail .

beg ,barrow, rent or buy a scan tool, or get it scanned in a shop
in the USA a 2008 or newer scan tool real is best not $17 code readers. one needs to see all codes (DTC) errors even factory only codes. OK?

Loosen the fitting at the hydraulic cylinder, start unit loosen fitting bleed till no air comes out.

You will have to replace the whole base along with the antena wire that goes into the cab. ON the base you will need to remove the retaining nut. The base will fall into the fender well. You will need to find the antena wire with in the cab, disconnect and reove it with the base. When installing the new antena you will need to put the antena through the fender well and tighten the retaingin nut. Feed the wire back through the are where the old was and reconnect. Good Luck. my sirius satellite radio stopped working the screen states antenae not found in the car and at home on the boom box the antenae has been checked and is not the problem can this be fixed ?

make sure u have the antena hooked to box and box hooked to tv, make sure antena wire is actually hooked to an antena if wire is coming out of the wall, otherwise u more than likely need a new antena, or box it's self is bad but if it turns on and u see somtin on the screen like make sure antena is hooked up then the box is probaly good

the moisture dripping into your passenger compartment is condensation that is supposed to be dripping out of the a/c box via a tube that runs along the firewall to the bottom of the car(thats where the water on the ground comes from on most rigs that have been running a/c for a while). it sounds like the drain hose, or the base of the a/c box where the hose attatches has gotten clogged. if you can get to where the hose attatches to the box, remove it and blow air through the hose. before reatatching the hose, be sure there is noting blocking the niple on the bottom of the box. you should be able to get a pick or small screwdriver through the hole to clear the debris. if that fails to work you will most likely have to remove the a/c box (very difficult and lengthy process) to clean the drip tray in the bottom of the box. if it comes to that i would recomend modifying the box somehow to create a larver drain hole, and allow for a larger drain hose. if its clogged that bad after just 4 years, you will probably experience this problem again without enlarging the drain hole. hope this helps

had a similar problem. exchanged power supplies between base unit and satellite unit.

The issue will have to be the sportster unit. It would be too much of a coincidence for bothe the car cradle and Boom-Box to have something wrong with them. I have seen this before...most of the time, the connections on the sportster will have a bad solder joint. This will cause it to turn on and off intermittently. You can confirm this by wiggling the unit when it is docked and getting it to turn on and off. This is not something that would be easy to repair as you will want an electronics repair to fix. The Sportster comes with a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer, so if it is covered, then you can get a new tuner and apply your old subscription to the new one.

I have a JVC boom box and I use a Sirius Sratus radio on mine through the line input of the boom box. Probably sounds better than the Sirius boom box that plugs into it.

Remove the batteries from the boombox. If there is no batteries in the boombox, and it still does this, then the boombox itself is no longer any good.
