My flash disc is unrecognized by the pc - Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive

Try to format the flash drive.

For Mac:
1. Start Disk Utility(if you can't find it just search it in spotlight search)
2. Click on your flash drive on the left. Use the erase.
3. Select the MS-DOS file system in the volume format.
4. Name your device and click erase.


For Windows:
1. Go to My Computer
2. Right click on the flash drive you are going to format
3. Click Format
4. Select FAT32 under file system
5. Click Start

Try inserting it into a different USB port, or try one on a different computer. If that doesn't work, you'll have to resort to formatting the disk to continue using this flash drive. (Formatting deletes all the data on the disk though).
