Hi there,
First try to take out the SD card of your digital camera and connect it into a PC with a card reader. Now you are able to view your photos.
If it fails, your photos were lost dut to some reason. Then you can recover them with a data recovery program to recover them.I have succeed to recover photos from formatted SD card with Tenorshare Data Recovery. If needed, have a try.

Connect your camera to your PC and make sure the camera is on or in USB mode. Then double-click on the MY Computer icon on your desktop after about 30 seconds or so. Look for a drive titled "USB Mass Storage Device" or a name similar to the company of the camera or the actual camera's model. Look though those folders after you double-click on the previously mentioned iconand you should be able to find your pictures. If that fails, you can buy an SD card reader for around $8 at wal-mart and try putting your SD card from the camera in there and seeing if that works. If those 2 options do not work, than the files somehow were lost or they have become unrecoverable.

Two things you can try here. One is making sure you have all the firmware for the camera downloaded to your computer. Next you can try taking the SD card out (I am assuming it takes an SD memory card) and putting it into a memory card reader. That will transfer all your pics to your computer. The camera saves the pictures on the memory card so connecting it directly to your computer via a card reader should do the trick.

What are the steps to put pictures on computer from this type Vivicam 5024

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Please help!!! I pressed the mode button on my camera and instead on pressing exit i pressed format now i cant find the pictures of my sons first day of school

Hello

Download THIS.

Download this free tool and run it on you card and it should be able to recover all pictures provided that you have not used the card since formatting. I recommend using a card reader for this.

After downloading and running (no installation required) , simply select deep scan and your memory card and it will start scanning, To recover a found file , right click it and select save.

Please note that the file names will probably not be available and also that some of the properties of the photo like date taken could be lost.

Please let me know when you have recovered your pictures safely or contact me if you need further assistance.

Regards
Andrea

ViviCam 5024 Digital Camera: just bought it and put in my2gb card from last cam...

Most cameras will not display pictures taken by a different camera. This does not mean that the pictures are not there anymore, just that you can't view them on this camera.

The Vivitar 5024 does not record sound with videos.
It has a pretend microphone position!
Some leaflets says it does record sound but this is an error.
There is no mention of audio in the manual.
