I recently had a black screen on my tv after unplugging it all we can see now are a whole screen filled with multi colored vertical lines with a faint picture behind it....any suggenstions on what the problem might be? It is only three yrs old and would like to have it working again!
Sir do a power reseet ,turn off the tv then unplug it from the electrical source then wait for 1 minute then plug it in and turn it on if it doesn't work call sony customer serveice at 1800 222 7669

I tried it and it worked also. I am very grateful. I called a repairman and he said it was the screen, and to repair it will cost more than a new tv. The second repairman told me it was the connection, and he would charge $60 just to come to my house to look at the tv.sm

I had this problem and followed xdwizard's advice to do a power reset by by disconnecting from the tv from the electrical souce. worked like a charm. thank you xdwizard.
