I have a Rheem Standard Energy miser electric water heater that is 46 " high, serial # R 0590105132 and model # 81v40D---40 gal. Could you please tell me the year it was manufactured? Thank you, JoAnne

    the year is 2000 i think i dont know help ?

Check that serial number.
Rheem is first two digits= month and next two digits= year, which means 1990.

it does have 2 elements they are located under the 2 panels on the heater you will find them under the covers on the front they will be connected to the thermostats follow the wiring. besure to turn off the power before working on it and use a tester to double check

What years were the Rheem 81v40d produced?

You can find age of water heater from serial number located on label on side of tank.
Label also shows tank size, and tank wattage and element wattage

i think since "tankless" water htrs entered the market...your plumber referring to a standard w/h means a storage tank wtr htr(stores 40 or more gals) ..most popular brands are a o smith rheem bradford white

Rheem energy miser. Model 81v52d c, 50 gal. Is not heating any water. I don't have the manual for it to see what troubleshooting options there are.

The water heater was taken out to tile the floor and put back in 2 days later. It has power but is not heating the water. Can you help?
