Hi valentin 201
I have owned my own business for 3 years and have been working on scooters and powerchairs for 15 years. . In the future give as much info about the scooter as possible.

1. load test the batteries even if you think they are good, check anyway. Sometimes even new batteries won't hold a charge.

2. Your charger on the powerchair must have enough volts to open the charger inhibitor. That is, the charger won't even start up if your batteries are low. Both batteries need to have at least 20-22 vdc.

3. Some chargers have a 3amp fuse check that and repace if needed.

4. With a multi meter set on dc200 check your batteries. Red on one battery and black on the other. Check to see what you get for voltage. If no voltage reverse the lead wire to the other posts. Once you get a reading of 20+ volts watch the meter and plug in the charger, it should increase the volts on the meter. if not the charger is bad, replace. Charger should be 24-31 volts to be a good charger.)

One of these sugestions will fix the problem

Good Luck
Tim

Have jet 3 power chair about 9 years old but has not been used much has set alot when i charge up the batterys it goes in circles only one motor is working i think could it be the batterys or what

doug Sorry bud but you will have to replace the motor thats not working Now if the batteries are 9 years old too then those should be replaced also. check around to see if you can locate a used chair that is good shape to buy it would be cheaper than getting yours fixed. Hope this helps you

Will not hold a charge - batteries test good

mcdevito75 here, The batteries may test good, however each individaul cell of the battery would have to be tested, also have the chair checked for anything that could be draining the batteries.

Not sure if jet 3 is charging

Does all your lights on the joystick come on after charging? If you can have someone look behind your chair while still plugged in for charging, the green light on the charger will be lit if the batteries are fully charged. They will have to kneel and look under the shroud to locate the charger they will see the light if it is on. Also check the meter on the rear of the chair the meter should read zero when the chair is plugged in and fully charged. I fyour chrger is working then if the chair does not stay with power for what was normal then new batteries are probably needed

My battery is charged and all the lights come on but chair will not move. I cant get it to unlock

Of course it could be a major mal-function- but not likely.

I'm sure you've already checked to make sure the chair is in-gear. That is the levers near the rear of the chair. If you can put your hand on the chair and push the chair, it's not in gear. When in gear you won't be able to push it.

Just because the lights are coming on does not mean the batteries are good. If the chair has been sitting for a while you'll probably need to replace them.
