Hello, My logitech extreme 3d pro is only one month old and I have played a maximum of 50-60 hours with it but now I have a problem with it's centering of twist handle. I calibrated it over and over but it still moves the vehicle I am in to right as if I am moving twist. How to solve it? Thanks.

Hi Mertmercanka, try setting the 'joystick deadzone' to a higher setting. This is a setting that is usually located under
options -> controls.

SOURCE: putting back together the logitech extreme 3D pro

it was junk anyway, after about a year or two of service the spring will wear and you will have to send it into logitech, if they cant fix it they will then ask if you want a refund, i would say yes and just apply that money towards a new joystick. My friend had the same joystick and it wore out after two years. he disassembled it, and tried to fix the problem, then he reassembled it and then it didnt work period although everything was ok, so he just tossed it in the trash and bought another one.

SOURCE: twist handle on logitech extreme

Hi

Go to Control Panel, click on "Game Controllers", or however you get to your joystick settings. Hold down the "Ctrl" (control key) and the "Shift" key together - at the same time, then click your mouse on the "Properties". This should take you to a different calibration screen that you would get to without holding the two keys together.

IMPORTANT - Click on the "Test" tab first. If you go to the settings tab first, it likely will not work. Without doing anything else after clicking on the "Test" tab, next click on the "Settings" tab. Then click on the "Calibrate" button below. Click "next". Click the thumb button on the left side of the joystick which should bring you to another screen. Then follow the prompts......
* On the "axis calibration", move your joystick in full circles, making sure the "+" symbol moves around the far margins of the square. After a few complete circles, click the "next" button with your mouse.
* On the next screen, click the left button on the joystick again, which should bring you to the next screen. Move the throttle lever back and forth a few times. Then click "next" again.
* On the "Z rotation screen", move the joystick to the left and right (rotate it) a few times. Then click "next" and then "finish" then "ok".

How do I custom program the buttons on a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick that I bought for my Mac to use with the F/A-18 OIF game? I don't see anything in the game software for customizing the joystick. ...

I just bought a copy of ControllerMate. Solved all of my button problems with my new Extreme 3D Pro and FA-18 OIF. You can program all the buttons in any way you want. Single key or multi-key entries. I'm running it all on a new MacBook Pro 2.53 Core i5 and it works perfect.
I was astounded that the old 2003 OIF would work on this new intel mac but it does.

How to install on Mac

Logitech does not provide any gaming software for the Mac platform. However, Logitech gaming devices are supported natively in Mac OSX. This means you can still use your Logitech gaming device, provided that the game you are playing supports a gamepad, joystick, etc.
If you are using a gamepad, and you'd like more programmability, you can use third party software such as Gamepad Companion. Keep in mind that this is third party software and you should contact the manufacturer of the software should you have any issues or questions about using the software.
