was there smoke, or the smell of smoke/burning. Its more than likely a compasitor, and unless you know how to electrical trouble shoot, and sodlier then you will need a new one. We call if magic smoke in the electrical industry, and its never good. good luck

VCRs typically do not have RGB outputs. If you are using the VCR as a tuner for your projector, then be sure you have selected the VCR/TV button to VCR then your VCR will be the tuner. If you have it set to TV then the signal is passed through the VCR by your coax to the TV and the TV is the tuner but the VCR is now only outputting Channel 3.
there is not the reset button on Epson 82
maybe the powersupply is fault

if you know how to open the unit, try fixing its ventilation. flashing bulb light sometimes mean an occurance of overheating. try to clean all the fans and the air vent.
