Open the keybaord. The soldering of the connector to the board may have briken loose or worst case a crack in the board. Both are repairable.

Midi Keyboard

I suggest taking it to the shop. The connector may need to be re-soldered, and if you make a mistake the keyboard could be damaged furthur.

M-Audio MIDI Keyboard Controller's Loose USB Port

Open up and solder in a new Type-B USB socket. Get spare from any electronics parts supplier - it is a generic part. Just 4 solder points on PCB board.

How do I fix my Loose USB port on a midi keyboard?

If the port is still intact then it might just need to be resoldered. USB ports however to get strained and basically fall apart. Purchase another and solder it to the board. If you are not confident about doing this take it to your local Yamaha service centre.

Axiom 49 not detected by reason 5

Open preferences. Go to Control Surface tab.
Click Add. Select M-Audio as manufacturer.
Choose Axiom 49

Make sure the ports are set right.

Controls IN Port = Axiom 49 Hypercontrol In
Keyboard Port = Axiom 49 USB A In
Controls OUT Port = Axiom 49 Hypercontrol Out

if it hasn't detected yet then restart Reason.
Make sure the power on the Axiom is on.
If you still have issues the USB port on the Axiom could be bad.

Hello guys, i have a problem with my midi keyboard. My PC doesn't recognize the USB connection and i can't find any solution.

Well first start by verifying USB port works by plugging in a hard drive or something thus proving you have a good port and USB Cable. At which point hook the keyboard up ( and make sure to properly install drivers provided on cd with purchase) being a pc this may take several attempts to install. What software are you trying to control? Reason? Logic? Fruityloops?

How do i fix the usb port on oxygen 49 it seems to be loose . the keyboard powers on but is not being recognized.

The usual problem of these not being recognized is improper installaation or missing the driver software in the computer. The jacks sometimes appear loose but that can be normal. If you wiggle the jack and there is marginal connections, usually the computer will respond with the USB found and the disconnect tones. If the USB cable has been yanked, then solder could have been broken at the connector. Opening these units one has to be very careful to not damage the cables between the halves of the shell... also keeping track of the screws and type is a must.

Sir i have purchased Roland gw-8 keyboard in the usb port when i put any flash drive it power is shown but it doen't read and it gives message usb memory not ready sir please solve my problem?

Read pages starting with 49 in your user's manual.

You MUST format the USB flash in the GW-8 before it can be used. Formating in a computer MAY b e inadequate as sometimes the formats have special quirks.

Also pay attention to the MAXIMUM file name length... It is 16 characters MAX !!!!

So, I have a controller keyboard, the MPK 49 that will not turn on via usb. the Display on the keyboard seems like it kinda gets power, but is not backlit at all.

The controller will not power from the USB. You MUST use a power adapter. The display takes far more energy than can be had from a USB port.
