I have replaced the battery in a PIR sensor, but the main unit still states 'tamper alarm' on that sensor, despite the cover being securely fastened back on. I have double checked that the sensor is OK, but the main unit won't clear. Consequently the system won't arm. Would really appreciate any help you can offer, as it's driving me mad!

There are several ways to reset that system. On the tamper error you are supposed to be able to hit and arm and then disarm immediately to clear it. If that does not work then you are looking at using the menu to reset it * {code} # <beep, beep> * 1 # * 99 #

Low battery warning reappearing on Visonic Powermax pir motion sensor

If the low battery warning keeps reappearing on your Visonic Powermax PIR motion sensor, it is likely that the battery needs to be replaced. Here are the steps you can follow to replace the battery:
  1. Remove the battery cover on the back of the sensor by pressing the tab and pulling the cover off.
  2. Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.
  3. Insert a fresh CR123A lithium battery into the battery compartment. Make sure to insert the battery with the positive (+) end facing outward.
  4. Reattach the battery cover to the sensor.
  5. Test the sensor to ensure that it is functioning properly.
If the low battery warning continues to appear even after you have replaced the battery, there may be a problem with the sensor itself. In this case, it is best to contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance.

Make sure the cover is properly seated. Enter your code and off twice. Enter programming mode with your installer code and 800, then exit programming mode with *99.

Let me know what the keypad displays after completing these steps.

Verifone vx670 security alarm

Verifone units has multiple sensors built inside for security reason. If you acceidentally dropped or jarred the unit, the sensors will kicked-in and give that error that you have now. And i'm also thinking about your internal system battery is getting low too and needs to be replaced. Then we need to reload the Verifone Tamper Removal Software to clear the Tamper error. Tamper error can be cleared, if you still need help you can call us @ (775) 358-2922 ask for Randy. Hope to hear from you. thank you.

Bad battery in fire alarm sensor, please provide steps to bypass the sensor, which is sensor 10 group 26

Why do you want to by-pass the sensor? It's there for a reason after all. If you KNOW the battery is bad, replacing it should bring the unit back into proper operation. *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Scurity penal temper

seems one of your tamper swicthes has been activated, you should be able to isolate which one is needing attention and mute the sounder too
It is common for the tampers to fail in very moist conditions ie outside siren boxs exposed to the elements or a rodent has chewed thru your wiring
i could be a simple as a spider sitting on the tyamper switch in side the box.
If your alarm is monitored then you will have to call an alarm company to fix this for you unless you have the right skills to trace isolate and repair this problem,
