Sounds like the the monitor detect line is causing your issue. The
Hitachi CP-X250 has VGA in & out. Hook the Dell to the VGA out port of the projector.
Make sure the Computer Input is set to VGA, Computer, or RGB (depending on which projector model you have). Go through the menu settings of your projector.
The first check is to make sure that it does accept other VGA signals into the 15pin D connector use 800X600 resolution, if signals are present then it is because you need to configure the output reference on your laptop.This is by using the F keys etc this switches the VGA XGA signals from your laptop screen and reference's it out to the connector.Kind regards J Williams www.jvsvisual.com
