There could be several reasons why the Lenovo ThinkVision monitor T27h-2L is not working with the Thinkpad P50 laptop. Here are some possible solutions:
1. Check the connections: Make sure that the USB-C cable is properly connected to both the laptop and the monitor. Try using a different USB-C cable to see if that resolves the issue. Also, check if the USB-C port on your laptop is functioning properly.
2. Update drivers: Ensure that you have installed the latest drivers for both your laptop and monitor. You can download the latest drivers from Lenovo's website.
3. Change display settings: Sometimes, changing the display settings can help resolve issues with external monitors. Go to "Display Settings" on your laptop and select "Extend desktop" or "Duplicate desktop" to see if that helps.
4. Reset monitor settings: If none of the above solutions work, try resetting your monitor to its default settings. To do this, press the "Menu" button on your monitor and navigate to "Factory Reset."
If none of these solutions work, it's possible that there may be a hardware issue with either your laptop or monitor. In this case, you may need to contact Lenovo support for further assistance.
Potential Problems: Cables
One possibility is that your cables are messed up. The 15 pin connection cable could be malfunctioning. You should get a new cable and replace it to see if it helps your situation. If not, the problem lies somewhere else. Environment
There could also be an electromagnetic interference affecting your computer. You should move the laptop around the building or room to see if the position of the monitor changes the flickering. If it stops when you change positions, then there is something in the virtual environment affecting your monitors ability to display properly. Display settings
If your display settings are improperly set, then your screen could flicker as a result. You should go into your desktop main screen, click Properties > Settings > Advanced > Monitor, and set your screens refresh rate at around 85 hertz or less. Video card
The other possibilities are that the video/graphics card that was integrated into your computer has stopped working. You should switch it out with a new one to see if this helps your situation. Monitor
Try to plug your monitor into a different PC/laptop. If it works properly, then you have an internal computer problem. You should also update your monitor's drivers just in case.
Connection the monitor depends on the connections you have out of your Toshiba laptop.
The monitor has both VGA and DVI.
If the Toshiba has a VGA out, all you need is a VGA cable available online, computer or electronics store.
If the Toshiba has an HDMI out, you can connect it to the DVI on the monitor with an HDMI cable and an HDMI to DVI Adapter.
You can also use USB out with either a VGA converter or a DVI converter (go with DVI for the better picture). Converters can be found online at Amazon, you may also need a standard male to male DVI cable to use with the converter.
I couldn't find out if the Vaio pcg 252l was either a monitor or laptop, but if it is a laptop, I have to dissapoint you because there is not possible to do, because the laptop isn't made to be used as a monitor, but if the Vaio is a monitor(basicly a screen), then all you have to do is to either connect a HDMI cable from the xbox to the monitor, or you can use a SCART cable, all depending on which are available on the monitor/xbox.
HDMI have better quality, in case you could use both cables.
An incompatible graphics card or operating system can cause this message to be diplayed. Check the vga cable connection on both the computer and the monitor. Make sure that the video card is working properly, check to see if there are any updated drivers for your vidoe card, make sure the video card is seated properly, if the card is not part of the system board.
You can then try the monitor on another computer if possible, you can even use a laptop to connect the monitor. You can also try another vga cable if you have one, cables do go bad once in a while.
This message generally shows when the monitor has a problem with the video signal being sent to it.
Let me know if there is any additional detail about this issue that I can know to be as helpful to you as possible.
Well, anything is possible, but other things are more likely:
1. loose connections of the "data" cable between the monitor and the computer's video-card;
2. an electrical "short" in the data-cable;
3. a "dying" video-card.
So, try the "free" stuff first:
Check the connections.
Try a different cable.
Try connecting the monitor to a different computer (laptop?).
Try connecting a different monitor to your computer's video-card.
Then, consider buying & installing a new video-card.
You can't even get into the BIOS. Hard drive failure? Here's what the manual say's about black screen.
Verify that: The monitor cable is securely attached to the rear of the monitor and to the rear of the computer. The monitor power cord is plugged into the monitor and into a working electrical outlet. The monitor is turned on and the brightness and contrast controls are set correctly. The voltage is set to the correct setting for your country. The monitor signal cable is securely connected to the monitor and to the monitor connector on the computer .Note: If your computer has two monitor connectors, verify that your monitor is connected to the one in the AGP option connector rather than the one in the rear of the system board.
If you can check the monitor by using another monitor. I suspect hard drive failure. Keep me informed on what you tried and I'll keep checking to come up with solution.
First i would look at the monitor settings and make sure its on auto-detect and check to see if it has an analog option and digital option. Its possible your connected with a VGA cable and on the digital option. or On a dvi cable with an analog option. The other possibility is a bad video card on your pc or laptop.
