We have LG GSA H55A super multi dvd writer. It was reading and writing properly. But i do not want to have writing software on our system. So we uninstalled nero writing software. After uninstalling nero writing software, it is not reading the CD / DVD disc. So how to fix it.

as with all writers eventually they fault at the lens and it gets out of line and cannot read discs, you can try the usual thing of checking LG for any firmware updates, but first:- Go to my computer>right click>hardware tab>device manager, then down list to cd/dvd drives and click '+' sign and highlight your writer, right click on it and select uninstall. Restart PC and it will be automatically re installed, try again and if no change you will need to replace the drive as they are cheaper nowadays.

you have the c installation cd with you then ok
you go to device manager and uninstall the device
from there
and then reinstall it using the hardware cd given to you if
even then the problem persists reinstall windows this will do the trick
before that please verify whether u have any hardware issues
