The Vivitar 410 is powered by 3 AAA alkaline batteries that you provide. Try changing the batteries making sure you use new alkaline batteries.

How do i know it charging

The DVR 508HD is a video camera, not a battery charger. As such it doesn't charge batteries at all. It uses three standard AAA batteries, either disposables or rechargeables. If you use rechargeables, they must be recharged outside the camera using a separate charger.

Can I charge archos 604 batteries using dvr station and power outlet?

yes you can, however the battery must be inserted into the 604. Simply dock the 604, ensure the dvr is turned on and the 604 will automatically turn on and start charging.

Want to copy shows recorded to DVR onto computer Howto...

ArmyMason,
Unfortunately as a Dish Network Employee I must inform you that acording to Dish that is not possible however a good computer tech may be able to help you with a work around but keep in mind that if any damage occurs to the receiver that Dish will charge you for the receiver. When you do upgrade check into the receiver models that have an expansion port for an external hard drive. A 211 which is a solo hidefinition receiver without DVR can have a port activated for as one time charge of 39.99 and you can use the hard drive you supply as the DVR. Yoiu also will not be accessed the 5.98 DVR fee every month and if the receiver needs replacing you still have your recordings. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Battery wont charge

This camera not charged via PC, you can charge the battery only with wall charger(comes with box). When camera is plugged to PC, you can´t use it as a camera, only as a memory card. You can watch your stuff in PC( PC recognise a camera as a flash memory, no more).

So, this is normal..Charge your camera with wall charger(Full charge Red light not flash!, if light flashed camera is charging) Unplug and use as usually!

Vivitar DVR 545 - Is this going to work with my MacBook?

I have a VIvitar DVR 545 I can not find out how to recharge the rechargable battery

I just bought this camera and had the same problem.

How DO you charge the battery???!!!

Here goes:
Open the box the camera came in and you should find a little rectangualr black box and a 3-pin plug.
Ignore the other stuff unless you think you may need it (depends what country you're in and what your mains supply wall socket fittings are). Take a close look at the little rectangualr black box and you'll see a slot in it. That's where your battery goes! Remember the battery must be taken out of the camera and slotted into this box! Make sure you align the battery correctly to the litle pins inside the box.
The Vivitar DVR 545 uses a sort of mobile phone/cell phone battery. You must take the battery OUT of the camera. Now you have slotted the battery into the box you connect the 3-pin plug to the box and then insert the plug (attached to the box) into your wall mains supply socket. The box will light up and you'll see a red light. Once this light turns green your camera battery is charged!

RE-INSERT THE BATTERY INTO THE CAMERA.

The whole charging procedure for the DVR 545 is ridiculous but there it is! By the way one drawback about having to remove the battery from the camera to charge it is that you will lose all or most of your camera settings. remember to reset video and photo settings - resolution, flash etc., etc.

Also a word of caution:
The Vivitar DVR 550 is unusual in that the battery is charged using the USB port. If you also happen to have a DVR 550 do NOT attempt to charge the Vivitar 545 using the Vivitar DVR 550 USB charger cable!

You will destroy your DVR 545 in seconds!!!!
