SOURCE: Door locked open
Tool: We cut a piece a wire about 10 inches long from a wire clothes hanger. On one end we bent 1/2 inch of the wire in a 90 degree angle with needle nose pliers. On the other end of wire we put another bend at least three inches.(this end will be your handle end) Process of using homemade tool to release latch: Make sure washing machine is on a wash cycle. Use flash light to locate latch in the locking catch. Insert the small bend of the tool into the locking catch. Then hook onto the latch and pull out --apply a small amount of pressure -- about three lbs of pressure) Then at the same time you are pulling, press in on the door release button (the little white button above the latch hole where you now have the wire inserted). As your are pulling with little pressure on the latch, hold the little white button in and press the start /stop button. You should hear the door lock. Let machine start working. (about ten seconds) Now push start/stop button again and you should hear door lock release. Your lock catch should give away. This worked for us.
SOURCE: bosch frontload washer will not drain
Hello Mamma5, It sounds like the drain pump is either seized or jammed. The drain pump has an anti jam device in it. Since you have figured out how to get into the drain pump, try turning the inpeller in the back. It will be a little hard to turn as the magnets in the motor will fight you on this. Look close in case there is anykind of thread wrapped around the inpeller. If so, then you can free the pump. If you cannot free it to run, advise the repairman what you found so he can bring a drain pump with him.
Hope this helps.
SOURCE: Is there a filter that
For majority of bosch washers, the filter is to be found behind a removable plastic panel at the front bottom of the washer; unscrew filter anti-clockwise, clean and refit .
SOURCE: Need clear plastic cover for front of door
I have one. My new Bosch washer came 2 months ago and I removed it immediately.
The problem is that it arrived scratched up somewhat, which is another reason I removed it as this will only get worse with a plastic cover.
The cover also makes it harder to see into the machine while it's in operation.
To be honest, I'm not sure why you would want it on there, but if you really need one then mine is available.

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old
man who has been making his own repairs for about
50 years. Therefore the washer or dryer ID doesn't
mean much to me. I came to fixya looking for a
schematic for an really old AM/FM radio and
discovered that more than 4,700 people were asking
for help with a washer repair. I recently had a washer
repair of my own and found an excellent video which
showed me how to take my machine apart. This
video made it possible for me to do my own repair. I
was so impressed with the video that when I saw all
these people needing help, I wanted to tell them
about it. If you have a top loader (washer) of the
direct drive type, this video might be a Godsend for
you. If you look at the back of your washer and the
panel is solid (no small inspection plate to remove)
chances are you have a direct drive and this video
is just what you need. You can see this video at
www.acmehowto.com You will probably need
more help in determining what the problem is and
how to fix it. If your repair problem is a washer or
dryer I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com
where they have very good trouble shooting and
repair information on most washers and dryers.
I think you'll find what you need there. Don't worry
about the timer, they hardly ever go bad. Good
luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my
advice on fixya.
Make sure dial is switched
to 'off'. Unplug your machine, then plug
it back in. Hold down the rinse and delay buttons with one hand. With the other
hand, switch the dial from off to cold or warm or whatever cycle you want. All the buttons flash a few times, then just
the start button flashes. If if doesn't work, do it again.
To get the clothes out if
you are having trouble, open door manually. Near the bottom of this cover is a small
hole. Insert a piece of wire into this hole, and push in gently. While pushing,
turn the cover clockwise, it will came off. The door release is a narrow white plastic
strip hanging down on the right; Pull down on this strip while pushing in on
the door, the door lock will release.
