Nintendo Wii Console Logo

Right, i was playing my wii last night and it was fine. I switched it off, removed disk etc... went to bed. I went to play it this morning it was fine so I put the game disk in (Endless ocean 2, which I was playing last night) First time it didn't register there was even a disk there. Next two times It spun the disk, stopped and came up with an error message saying to remove disk and restart console. This I di both times but then it wouldn't work so I unplugged console and tried again. I tried in a different socket and unplugging everything, removing SD etc... But there is no light on the wii at all. It looks dead. Any support much appreciated, its well out of warranty and I don't fancy having to pay to have it fixed.

    @BearFinch
    Not sure what it was but managed to get my wii working again, tried some other disks and they worked fine so Found it was the disk in the end and upon closer inspection there is the tiniest smudge on the edge ever, we cannot get it off so gonna buy a pre-owned one I think.
    Thanks for your comment though!

Wii stopped working . We played it before bed one night and the next morning there was no light on the system and it would not turn on. We have unplugged everything and plugged it all back in...still...

This probably didn't happen, but my guess is that, when the sudden power was restored, the Wii console took too much and fried the circuts. This can happen on on computers, but I'm not sure about gaming consoles. This can be prevented with a surge protector, a device with several power outlets and a switch for power protection. If the warranty on your Wii is still present (I think it lasts 1-4 years) you can send it in to Nintendo for repairs (or if they can't repair it, they'll send you a brand new one).

It means WiiConnect24 is on and you have a message. To turn off WiiConnect24 when you are finished playing the Wii, press and hold the power button until the light truns to red.

My wii fit disk wont work

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself.
