Handset message "Warning check battery" after replacing new battery

Hello - did you put the phone on the charger with new battery and leave it there for 8-12 hours? If so then you may either have the wrong battery or your phone won't accept generic batteries (if it is generic). You can locate your phone model by looking under the base or finding it on this this site. Sometime it is normal to get an error message if you haven't let the battery fully charge. It may say it is charged but still important to leave on charger over night. Good luck:)

I am charging the battery of a brand new purchase. Do I need to let the battery charge fully, ie; the 3.5 hours before I can use it? I keep getting a, "Key LOCKED, system shutting down message on the...

For the initial charging, YES, you need to follow what's on the manual. If it requires you to charge the player for 4 hours as the initial charging, you need to leave it connected to the wall outlet for 4 hours, so that the battery life will become longer.

Though the key is locked, it's still charging. As long as it's connected to the outlet.

Thank you.

Green battery light on the archos 5 but when i disconnect it from dock or usb no green lights abd completely dead - won't switch on either in dock or out???

Power green LED light should come on, CHG green LED light should also come on showing the battery is being charged. Leave your unit in Suspend mode while charging it, DO NOT turn it completely off as "Shutting Down.." because it will not charge your battery.

I just purchased an almost new Archos 5 on eBay recently, and the first day I had it, happened to me that I left the unit off and charging on the Mini Dock with external AC power supply, after 13-14 hours the CHG light still wasn't blinking. Then I though maybe I have to leave the unit in Suspend mode rather than completely off, which I did, and in a matter of 3 hours it fully charged the battery.

Again, do not shut down completely the unit, leave it on Suspended mode, or even on, and connected it to your mini dock, after a while the screen will go blank the unit will go into Suspended mode by itself, and after 3 hours on external power supply or 8 hours via USB on PC should be completely charged and your CHG light should be blinking, indicating the battery is charged.

I hope this helped.

When I insert my R4i card for DSi and select start

What firmware is your DSi using? If you recently updated to v1.4 then it will prevent your R4i from working. Luckily hackers have released their own firmware to fix this problem. Try updating your firmware

Philips mp3 player sa6045

This player shows the "Do not disconnect" message when it is doing something critical such as transferring tracks or updating firmware, which could corrupt the player if disconnected part way through.

The player shows the "OK to disconnect" when it is idle. As the message says, it's ok to disconnect, as the player will not corrupt if disconnected when it is idle.

These messages mean that the player does not need the "Safe to remove" procedure.

It is ok to disconnect part way through charging. Also the player will condition the battery once it is fully charged, so it's ok to leave it charging.

Occassionally batteries can "memorise" when constantly disconnect and reconnected without fully charging and discharging. To help prevent this, fully discharge the player (leave on until dead) and fully charge and condition (leave charging for about 12 hours) every couple of weeks or so.

Charging the Sansa Clip player

If you leave your Sansa plugged into your charging source (wall charger, computer, car etc.), your player might still remain fully charged and just on. If you can, you may want to just leave it plugged into your charging source until you want to use it, so it stays fully charged. When its done, it will say fully charge...it should take a couple hours to charge the device....

Also, does your player have an auto power off or idle sleep setting? You can use this setting to set the amount of time you want your Sansa to automatically turn off after you don't use or listen to music on it.
