Squeaking My copier squeaks when it is running. It only squeaks when actually copying and not just when it is out of sleep mode. Is there something I should be lubricating?

The squeak is coming from the drum unit. If you take out the drum and rotate it by hand it will most likely give you the same noise. you may be able to stop it by pouring some toner on it, but in reality it is more annoying than a problem.
there is a blade that scrapes off excess toner from the drum, it is slightly dry and causes the squeaking, technicians usually use a special powder that looks like baby powder to "lubricate" the blade, and stop the noise.

How do I fix a squealing or squeaking fan in my portable AC

unplug unit and check play in motor shaft. if it moves perpendicular to the bearing the motor needs to be replaced. There may be something loose causing a squeeking sound. you could check all the screws for tightness.

Altima 2005 squeaking in the rear

Chattering is caused by components tooclose to each other. This happens when bushings wear out. Get under there (not whenthe car has been running) and shake the exhaust system and any suspension component to see if you can make it chatter. Then look for why the part is able to move so much.

My HP Officejet 6500 wireless E709N makes a loud squeaking noise every time something is printed and is printing additional lines on the sheets of paper being printed?? Help!

Horizontal streaks across the page usually mean your cartridge is about to run out, or is at least dirty. Try cleaning the nozzles, though avoid doing this manually -- your printer should have a cleaning cycle.
The squeaking noise could be dust in your rollers. That can't really be fixed without major intervention that could throw something out of balance and result in many a paper jam. You can use a lint-free, static-free cloth to gently clean inside an unplugged printer, but it's generally not a great idea to mess around in there too much.

Squeaky printer/copier

Probably paper dust stuck in the gears, you can try to blow it out with some compressed air, it could be due to differing humidity levels now that it is getting colder - I wouldn't worry too much over it, some noise is normal. Clicking, grinding, popping, however - that could mean something is about to go. But slight squeaking shouldn't be too much cause for worry, there's alot of moving parts in there to keep well lubed up... ;)

Maytag dryer squeaks during cycle

How do you replace the glides/slides? I have a Maytag dryer that's squeaking, took off front and it's clear it's the glides. Found where to buy them just need directions for replacing. Anyone know how?

To change the glides you have someone lift the drum--after taking off the front panel--and pull out the glides. We bought the glides locally and just ordered on line the felt pads that go under the glides, as one was missing. So I haven't actually completed the project but should easily be able to once the felt pads arrive.

HOW DO YOU GET THE SQUEAKING NOISE TO STOP

You must indicate where the squeaking is coming from. If its only squeaking, move on. There's other people here with down time problems. It'll stop squeaking or stop running eventually. If it stops working, then write in!
