Want to connect pc speakers and subwoofer to lg37lc55 tv unfortunaly it doesnt have an earphone 3.5 connection point. My other smaller tv does, the speakers and subwoofer consist of a white and red audio...

Hello,
Your TV should have an AUDIO OUTPUT other than optic..at least " Headphones" output..
You can connect TV audio output with a RCA cable.
white and red audio jack....
since SUB has both RCA and "3,5mm Headphone female Jack"..here are the options;
** you need to buy a cable one end 3,5mm MALE headphone jack and the other end 2xRCA stereo (or 1x RCA for mono or you may need "Y cable " ) to be connected to your TV...
** or 2x RCA
white and red audio jack and connect from your TV..
**" "Headphones" output to SUB with 3,5 male-to-male cable ( the least recommended)
And you need to connect front, centre and rear speakers to your SUB as well...
Take care and if it succeeds please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up

Hope this helps!

Is there a wAy to connect an iPod to an LG tv to play music through tv speakers?

Yes. Connect an audio cable from iPod to TV. This cable has the earphone type plug on the iPod side and 2 RCA audio plugs on the TV side. Connect to the TV's white and red audio IN jacks and select this input using the TV remote. Radio Shack or any online store like Amazon selss these adapter cables.

Trying to hook up a dvd and wii with direct tv and can"t get sound out of wii! HELP Can you show me where to plug cords in?

Your TV has two sets of AV inputs. One on the side and one at the back. The Wii has a 3RCA cable ( Yellow / Red & White ) . Connect these jacks to the corresponding color sockets on the side input of your TV. Select that input on the TV and your Wii sound and picture should come on.
For the DVD player you have to get a 5 RCA component cable. This cable will have 5 colored jacks, connect the White & Red to the Audio in of the TV and then connect the Red/Blue/Green jacks to the component video input of the TV.Do the same at the DVD's end also. Setect that source on the TV and you should hear the DVD sound and picture.bobhifi_31.jpg

How do I hook up my ipod to my pioneer vsx d409 ?

The best way is to use a 3,5mm stereo jack to 2 RCA cable like this:
technical114_34.jpg
You can easily find one like this at your local audio/electronics shop or buy one on line. You have to connect the RCA at any free stereo input at the back of your Pioneer (like aux or cd). Take a look at this picture:
technical114_35.jpg
After this you can use the 3.5mm stereo jack for connecting not only your ipod but every mp3 player or other device has an earphone jack. Just plug the 3.5mm jack at the earphone jack and rise the volume at the portable device up to the middle of the volume range and set your Pioneer input selector at the stereo input that you connect the 2 RCA before (aux or cd)

In case of a problem or clarification or further details needed, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

Please help. Hooked up Toshiba Satellite to l40fhd41 RCA using VGA cord and video shows up on PC channel of TV. My problem is the sound. Trying to get sound to TV using earphone port on Laptop with...

If you look real close at the VGA port on the TV, you will see a small mini phone jack 'AUDIO' that is for attaching the audio cable with mini stereo phone plug at both ends, one end is to the TV PC audio input jack, another end goes to the PC AUDIO line out or headphone out.

Can't hook vcr to tv

on the back of your VCR there will be a yellow colored port - most likely labeled "OUT" as well as possibly a white/red pair of ports.
The yellow is for a VIDEO hookup, the white and red are for AUDIO hookups.
These ports use what is called an RCA type connection.
Radio Shack, or just about any department store should be able to sell you an inexpensive set of RCA cables.

now on the back of the TV (possibly on the side) you will also have the yellow, white and red ports.

Hook one end of the RCA cable to the colored ports on the VCR, the other end of the cable to the colored ports on the TV.

last thing - the TV most likely has multiple inputs. there is probably a input button on the TVs remote, you need to press that button to cycle through the inputs until you get to the one the VCR is hooked up to.
its easiest to put a tape in the VCR and press play - when you get to the right input, you will see your tape...

good luck

DVD player hook-up problem

Using the composite video connection method is pretty straightforward. you will be dealing with one video cable (marked in Yellow), and two audio cables (marked in White and Red) Red is right channel and white is left channel if stereo, if mono use the white marked cable. Look at the back of your DVD player you will see the video out RCA jack (marked in yellow) plug one end of the video cable into this jack, the plug the other end of the cable into the TVs Video In jack (marked in yellow) Then plug the audio cables into the Audio Out RCA jacks of the DVD player Red marked cable to red jack White Marked cable to white jack. After this is done plug the ends of the sother side of the cable into the Audio input of the TV white to white, red to red. At this point you should have video and audio once you set the menu of your tv to accept input from the Composite input and the audio jacks. I hope this helps.
