Cut off breaker for 5 minutes. Cut back on and see if code clears. If so, run any empty cycle with no dishes and no soap. Make sure type and amount of detergent recommended in owners manual is used in the future.
For regular monthly maintenance fill the dishwasher soap dish with vinegar once a month and run a regular cycle with an empty dishwasher. If you're having problems with dishes not getting clean or dishwasher soap build up on the floor of your dishwasher do the above now. You may need to run the empty dishwasher with vinegar a few times to clean the drain lines; running empty once a week with vinegar is not too often.
if every thing else is working good, try first to clean the screen in the bottom and run a cleaning agent through it with nothing in it. you can find the cleaning agent with the dish washer/laundry soap area in your store (same one used on front loading washers) or run 1 cup of white vinager through it
Check the outlet holes on both spray arms for clogs. If necessary, remove the spray arms, clean out the holes and empty out any debris inside the spray arms. Verify that the upper arm is turning also.
If the machine does not drain completely at the end of the cycle, the pump drain outlet is partially blocked and you are retaining dirty water for the next load.
You may have a chemistry problem - inferior soap, empty rinse agent dispenser, or extremely hard water.
Improper arrangement of the dishes can prevent some from being washed. Make sure no dish blocks the spray to another.
if the soap/detergent isn't completely rinsing out of dispenser, it sounds like water isn't directed the top spray-arm. possible a defective vario motor; as it directs water to the water channel that supplies water to the middle and upper spray arms.
Try this. I want you to run your dishwasher empty, on the hottest water setting. Let it fill and just before it starts the wash cycle put in three cups of white vinegar. I expect your jets are clogged and the vinegar should hopefully open the jets back up. You don't need to add soap during this cleaning process. Works just like when you clean your coffee maker.
run the dishwasher empty: use 1/2 the amount of soap you usually use in the soap dispenser close it then put white vinegar in the open dispenser and, run the dishwasher
generally dishwashers rely on the pressure supplied by the water supply line. check to see if it is enough or if inlet pipe is of sufficient diameter for needed flow.in some instances i know of seperate lines needing to be run directly instead of coming off of supply to sink area.
