TV does not turn on/red led flashes 7 times in front

My TV will not stay on and will go from green light to red light which flashes 7 times. I open the back cover and I saw in the power supply a green led light which flashes 3 times and found that it was a Vscan error alarm/code. So I started unplugging some connectors until I unplug the connector that goes to the board LJ92-01200A which they call a Y-board and the TV stays on and I can control the TV with remote or the side buttons. NO pictures but I connected and input (my video camera) and I can here the sound. Then I reconnected the cable and disconnected the ribbon cable that goes to Logic main board which one of the green LED is flashing too. I powered it up and I can control the TV on and off, the Vscan (3 LED flashing) is gone. It will only go back to the original proble if I plug in the ribbon cable from the Y-board. Was it the Main logic controller that is bad or the Y-board? PLease help...

I have the exact same problem (7 blinks and powers up when Y jumper disconnected.)on my Phillips 42PF7320A/37 set. I replaced just the Y main board and had no sucess. What checks should I preform for volts (values and locations to check) before purchasing Y-upper+lower buffers next? HELP!

The mainboard got water in it from the aerial. After this the remote stopped working. Tried changing the main board to fix this but the screen just stays black and a green and amber light flash at the bottom

I have a phillips 50" plasma tv. If the brightness is turned all the way down the tv stays on. If i set the brightness to 10 the tv shuts off with flashing red code 7 (8.6V missing). There is a board on teh power supply that has an led on it. When the tv is working this led is green solid. When the tv shuts off and flashes the error this led is flashing 1 time then pauses then 1 time etc. The sikscreen says that a flash of one is Va loss. Va is the 60Vdc that drives the brightness. I connected a meter to the 60v output of the supply and watched it drop as low as 40v. the drops in voltage and teh brightness of the screen are inversely related i.e. the brighter the screen the lower the voltage reads. When teh voltage drops to about 35 the tv shuts off. I disconnected the 60v plug from the top (series connected boards) and teh voltage drop was much less but still apparent. I disconnected teh lower (series connected boards) and i observed teh same behavior. With both disconnected the 60v was steady. I think that the problem is with the high voltage section of teh powersupply since i can see the drop at the 335v stage. I checked a single component that delivers the final 60v to the upper and lower boards. It is 2 diodes 10Amps each. I measured the current on this line and it doesnt come anywhere near the limits of this component so I dont think that the supply is being over driven.
There are 2 large capacitors on teh high voltage section that look ok. I dont see any other problems either. Is there a common problem that causes the 60V to behave this way? thanks!

This is common issue with this model and through your troubleshooting is tied to y main board. blinking led on logic main in normal operation. when replacing y main always good idea to replace y upper and lowe buffer boards as they complete a circuit and sometimes replacing one without other could cause additional failure on remaining boards

I suspect you probably have a bad LED assembly. It could be either the red, green or blue that is bad and give you the same symptom. The problem is locating parts for it as it looks like the light engine is no longer available. I would have a technician look at the TV to verify this and what parts are needed for repair.
