My nokia E52 does not charge. At times it shows "charging" then after afew minutes, it shows "unplug charger to save.." And does not charge any further. This started when I did a siftware upgrade to version 054.003. Could it be a software problem. Please advise. Sam
Re: My nokia E52 does not charge. At times it shows...
The possible problem are : i would be your battery is on defect or the phone itself...to determine if the battery is the problem, try to change your battery.
if you tried another battery, and it still wont work.. possibly, it is caused by the software you've just upgraded..try to undo the upgrade or better yet have it reformatted...it will restore all factory settings...thanksif you tried another battery, and it still wont work..

Ifthe cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall.
ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.
This problem is arises if the battery is damaged. When the battery is damaged or its swollen the its become unable to charge. Please change the battery of your phone and then try. Also check the battery for swollen type.
This often happens when your battery is not having perfect contact with the terminals and as a result, it prevents the power from your power outlet ot easily flow into the battery and charge it.
The easiest way toi tackle this problem is to follow the following instructions.
1.switch off your phone and remove the battery,
2.Use a dry lintless cloth to clean the battery terminals and the points of the battery that comes in contact with the terminals on the phone.
3.replace all parts and try again.
if this doesn't solve your problem, then your battery could be completely dead and needs replacement but contact a technician first.
