Kohler Toilet Seat - Elongated Front Quiet Close Quick Release - Cachet by Logo

I can't seem to find the method for replacing my former Kohler toilet seat. For instance, the new-model Kohler replacement does not have hinges that open at the top to insert the screws. The model number is apparently 4664-95, Brevia #EB Toilet Seat. It looks different from the old model although the seat's the same make and same shape and size. Oddly, the instructions' pictures do not look like the parts that come with it! For instance, it shows a locking device that opens at the top. Yet the two hinges--with screw, washers, and nuts that came with the seat--do not open at the top, so far as I know.,Can you help? Possibly with pictures that go with the seat....Thank you. Are your screws separate from the seat?
Do the screws have a phillips or straight slot for installing?

SOURCE: Running toilet

You need to replace the float system. This will fix the problem will take you about 15 minutes and will cost you about 15 dollars to due it yourself. This is not the flapper, rather this is the float and the water inlet system

SOURCE: Kohler Cimarron elongated comfort height toilet not flushing correctly

low water in the bowl is only caused by the float being to high! the gurgles is Usually because of air coming back up through the pipe, check your vent pipe that come out the roof. this will help the draining.

SOURCE: can't change the toilet seat that broke

Kohler Rialto Toilet seat replacement.

Use dremel to cut off old bolt and allow it to fall into the black abyss that is the genius of Kohler engineering. Enlarge the hole to 3/8. I worked up to that size slowly increasing bit size so as not to crack porcelin. At Home Depot I bought a 1/4 x 20 x20mm "Insert Nut" and a good 2 part epoxy meant for metal and ceramic. Gently tap the Insert nut about 1/2 way into the hole and apply epoxy all the way around. Continue tapping the insert nut until it is flush. Clean off excess epoxy and allow to set. Now attach any standard round toilet seat using the standard 1/4 nut that comes with it. I used a Kohler "Cachet" round toilet seat to replace the Kohler "French Curve" that comes standard with the Rialto. All in all it should take you about 1/2 hour.

Happy Fixing!

SOURCE: kohler lowboy toilet seat does not have bolts underneath

I have the same low boy where the bolts are inside the hollow body of the toilet. I called Kohler customer service and was told to use brute force to yank the toilet seat out. My husband suggested using a saw to cut the bolt but he hasn't done it yet. He wants to replace all our Kohler low boys which constantly leak becos of poor design of handle and flapper. The handle pulls the flapper slightly to the side when you flush. And the flapper lip being a tiny bit too small, if it doesn't sit just right, the toilet leaks. We've replaced one already with a Toto and love it. Too bad that Kohler isn't trying to fix the problem as I see many many online posts with the same problem and recommendation to replace the Kohler with Toto or somethng else.

Where can I purchase a new Kohler 85330-cp-17 Teal replacement molded wood elongated toilet seat for our existing toilet?

You cannot. As you state, it is discontinued, confirmed on Kohler site.

If color is really important, consider painting it or a new replacement using an appliance epoxy spray paint such as Rust-Oleum after careful preparation of the surfaces.

Wrap a putty knife with a wash cloth, and push it between the toilet ceramic surface and the plastic hinge for the seat. Wedge it in there. Now try unscrewing the hinge screw. This provides back pressure against the hidden nut on the other side and may let you successfully remove the screw.
