Paper problem: when I print a page (ex. from internal menu "print net config" that is only one page), the printer print two pages, the first is correct and the second is blank. When I print more of one page (ex. from internal menu "print configuration" that is two pages) the printer print the first page correct, then during the pick-up of second page I hear a noise gears: most of the time the page is jammed inside under the cartridge and sometime is print correctly (but always with a noise gears).

My auto-solution: the problem is the pick-up roller clutch, I've change it and the problem is gone.

Dell 3010cn prints only blank pages

Dear Anna: Like your problem is related with the laser unit (ROS ASS), I mean, the printer do not print to the paper the image that have or could have in the drum.

We need to test if this is the problem. To do this, please, with much care: turn on the printer, wait it do it the initial test (5 to 15 seconds more or less), verify have paper in the correct position and the size too in the tray. Print a "config page", but not from "Windows, instead of the same printer. For do this: press Menu, with the vertical or horizontal litle sparrow , chose "print information", then choose "config page" and press the central key to execute it.(See page 32 of this document: http://configpages.blogspot.com/2012/01/dell-3000cn.html)

If you want, look this links beside: ftp://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_printers_main/esuprt_printers/dell-3010cn_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf.

And: http://configpages.blogspot.com/2012/01/dell-3000cn.html

If the config.page was printed well, the printer is not the problem. Try to uninstall the drivers of this printer and then reinstall the right and updated drives from the DELL web link and test again from Windows now.

But if the config. page was printed "in blanking", we have other problem, like the lasser unit.

If you now how to get out a page was have a paper jam in this printer, do it the following actions, if not, do not follow please, because could cause a major problem.

I will give you the actions to take it if you do not resolve the problem with the indicated. Please give your information that what happened.

How to print a config page on a Ricoh printer

On Ricoh printers, the configuration page (also called the Config page) is an information page that can be printed out with detailed data about the machine's status. The Config page shows the printer's copy count, various network settings, and current firmware versions, among other things. One nice feature of the Config page (on most printer models) is that it shows how much toner is left in the cartridge or bottle, so you can find out if you'll need to order more soon.

Follow the steps below to print a Config page from a stand-alone Ricoh printer.

A. Turn the printer on and wait for it to warm up.

B. Press the Menu button.

C. Scroll through the list of submenus using the up and down arrow keys until you see List/Test Print, then hit the OK button.

D. Look for the Config Page option, and hit OK again.

The configuration page will print out, and depending on that specific printer, it might be two pages rather than one. Whether the printer is black and white or color, the configuration page will be printed in black and white. If you want to print a test page in color, scroll further down the List/Test Print menu and you should see something called the Color Demo page.

To print a Config page from a multifunction Ricoh printer (one that scans and copies as well as prints), the steps are similar, but some of the machine's buttons are different. Multifunction printers typically don't have the Menu button, so you would press User Tools instead and then go to Printer Features. From there, the process is pretty much the same as described above.

HP LaserJet 4250n: How to print a config page

Almost all modern printers have the ability to print out a configuration page -- a pre-formatted page with all sorts of information about the printer and its status. The items found on a config page will vary from printer to printer, but typically they include the network address and other network settings, a list of optional features that have been installed, the printer's page count (number of pages printed), and possibly the current ink levels. For color printers, the page count is typically broken up into black and white (or monochrome) and color.

To print a config page on an HP LaserJet 4250n, follow these steps:

A. If the printer is not already powered on and warmed up, turn it on now. Then hit the Menu button (the gray button to the left of the display screen.)

B. Using the down arrow button, scroll down once to Information and hit the Select button (the green button with the check mark on it).

C. Hit the down arrow button again to scroll down to Print Configuration and hit the Select button again.

The config page -- which might actually be two pages if you have a JetDirect print server -- will print out immediately if the machine was at the Ready screen when you started, or it will print out as soon as the printer warms up if you just turned it on. The display screen will automatically return to Ready.

If the printer is currently in an alert state -- because of a paper jam, empty ink cartridge, lack of paper, or other problem -- it won't be able to print the configuration page. Remedy the problem shown on the display screen and try again.

Config page on hp4345 without menu button

You would need to log into the embedded webserver to view the configuration page. From there you could screen capture it as I do not believe that the print config page was added until later models.

All toner cardridges are at least 1/2 full but

in the printer menu, scroll to Special Pages and print a Config page, Menu Map and also the Test Pages. If these appear to print colour properly the problem may be in the driver. Check the quality tab in the preferences is not set to B/W. If the problem still appears to be with the printer after printing the internal pages then recheck after restarting the printer.

No printing, just blank papers shooting out

First verify that the printer is working by printing a configuration page from the printer itself. If it prints fine, uninstall and reinstall the printer with the latest driver from HP.

If the printer will not print an internal config page, replace the ink cartridges.
