Ps3 loads most games first time however after about 20 mins of playing battlefield BC 2 the sound stops working i can hear people talk through headset but no game sounds when i reset and insert the game again the ps sounds like it try's to eject the disk but doesn't and the disk wont load this isn't a problem with the disk as it plays fine on another system. call of duty black ops plays fine for about half an hour then freezes when i reset and insert the game again the ps sounds like it try's to eject the disk but doesn't and then the disk wont load until the ps has been turned off for an hour or so. However some games will work with no problems at all. I have tried deleting and reinstalling game data as well as deleting all game saves for the problematic games but this had no effect. any help appreciated thanks.

The disc reading problem is quite a common one!

It is caused by the laser coming away from the drive and you need to readjust the laser to get it to work.

Sounds bad but at least the drive is not broken JUST the laser needs readjusting.

Now let us look at how you can fix this:

Solution 1:

The normal way to fix this is to send it in and they will do the work for you at the factory. However it will cost about $150 and also you will have to wait about 4 weeks.

If you do not play on your PS3 that much this may be the best solution for you.

Solution 2: For A Faster Fix
