Sanquinn, hopefully it's just the overload and relay. Remove the back cover in back by the compressor. On the left side of the compressor will be the overload and relay, connected to the compressor. If they are contained in a white casing, unplug the refer and remove it. Shake it and see if it rattles. If so that's probably your problem. This unit does have a electronic defrost board that could also be the culprit, but start with that overload and relay. You will save yourself a ton of money if that's whats bad. Easy fix. there is a black casing next to the compressor, I took it off shook it and plug the unit back end nothing happen.

model ksrs22qaal10 - this morning, water all over the floor - dripping from defosting ice in the ice maker - all frozen food soft. Refrigerator will not run - tried plugging/unplugging to no avail.
I have the same problem with my KitchenAid. When we turn it off and restart it, it seems to do okay. An easy fix is mentioned, but not told. Are there further instructions somewhere we could follow?
