My XP PC crashed, and I am now using a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I tried to install the set up CD, but it said it is compatible up to XP, 32-bit. Is there an updated driver so I could use it with this laptop? I am on a short project overseas, and need this for my work. Thank you.

Hello

the flat bed scanner will not work properly because the driver you have is for windows xp, you have to download the driver for that scanner which support windows 7, got to the website of cannon and find your device and driver supported with windows 7, plug in you scanner and make full update your system and windows will update the driver of your scanner.

thank you

Driver compatability

Install vmware, install windows xp 32 bit or windows 7 32 bit.
Then when you connect the scanner, you will be able to connect it to the virtual machine and it will work with 32 bit drivers that you have.

Because you system is a 32 bit system you will have to install XP 32 bit. Then your problem will go away and you will be able to install Windows XP. Thanks for a good question others may also have some ideas. John

CreataCard Gold6 does not work with Windows 7 CD 1 and 2 do not work

Try setting in compatibility Mode, for XP SP2, and run the main .exe, as administrator, that may help.

Can not install video controller & modem on windows XP 64 bit

This Computer is not compatible with 64 bit operating system and all drivers will not work with 64-bit version. Do not wait for any answers, just reinstall 32-bit XP. However, the drivers you have already installed, do not work as a 64-bit, they work as a 32-bit.

Canon MP500 all in one printer is not compatible with Windows Vista. Is there a solution for this problem, or do I need to buy a different printer?

My Canon PIXMA MP500, purchased in mid-2006, came with the (then) ScanSoft OmniPage SE2 software on a CD. The PC had WinXP Installed. I had no use for the ScanSoft it so I made no effort to install it.
Fast Forward:
Two PC crashes later, July 2009. Using Win Vista Home Premium
LOST, important WinWord document file, only a hard copy available.
I tried to recover, scanning the "Xerox" copy. The SE Version of OmniPage was very complicated but I succeeded in producing a replacement *.doc file.

It appears that newer editions of WinVista contain the right printer drivers for this Canon Model.
