You will need a 2RCA to 2RCA audio cable as shown below. Connect the audio out socket of your TV to the Aux or TV/SAT input of the JVC. When you want to hear the TV sound through the JVC system just select the appropriate input on the JVC. If you want the surround speakers to work, select ProLogic or All channel stereo on the JVC's surround settings.Because by default the radio or TV sound is only stereo, so only the front left and right speakers will work. PLII will convert 2 channel to 5.1.

Running my tv sound though the home theater

Depending on the type of connection your TV has, you would either connect RCA type cables or an HDMI cable from your TV to the Samsung unit. If you hook up and still don't get any sound, check you cabling ti ensure it is plugged in the correct way. If you don't have the manual, you can go to the following URL to get one:

No sound coming from JVC Theater System when watching regular TV

  1. I am assuming that it has audio when using other inputs or tuner.
  2. Check that the TV inputs work by attaching a different input devise (cd player, Tape deck or vcr audio out) to the TV input.
  3. If you get audio the problem is with the TV audio out check that connection.
  4. Check the audio setting on the TV you may need to switch from internal speaker to external or from variable to fixed.
Good luck

Audio: hearing everything twice

you have a delay time on your home theater JVC, that is normal. So it's either you reduce the delay time of your JVC or do not use the TV sound. Set the delay time of your DSP so you can heqar the sound you wish... like the delay time of your surrond.
