The screen on the igucci watch went blank and the only thing on is the light.

Mine did the same thing; I read in other blogs that this could happen due to humidity. I heat up my watch with my wife's blower for about 5 minutes on high. After 5 min I couldn't even touch it! The screen went blank. After a few minutes when it cooled down the screen came back up and to my amazement all the function came back. it is risky but So far... it works well.

I would advise to check out if there are two separate batteries. It is quite common for watch manufacturers to use one battery for backlight and another one for watch movement itself.

If it had been sitting on display for long time the battery might need replacement. I'd take advantage of the warranty and have them replace the whole watch.

I am having a guess here but perhaps the memory is full (did you see the "Lo mem" warning?

Try downloading the memory to your computer if you can with a blank screen!

They do have a battery to tide them over the times when there is no light shining on them.

Consult the maker about replacing the battery, it should last for years.

The light button drains the battery real quick.  Can happen accidently when put in your pocket or when the button is stuck.  Put a new battery in the thing.

Yes, the big, round thing in the middle is the battery. To get it out you need to unclip or unscrew the contact covering it. When the contact is off you will see the battery number written on battery - buy exactly the same one and replace. After replacement you will need to set the watch manually.

same thing happened to mine. you might have cracked the inner screen and the only thing i can suggest is to replace it!

if this is the same as my watch, it's solar powered and when it gets TOO LOW< it will blank out and begin to charge .  Stick it in direct sunlight for a day if you can.  You can also stick it under a regualr lamp, but it will never get fully charged, but it should be enough to operate at least.  The battery meter is the top middle dial on the face.
