Cuisinart Codffee Maker

The machine will only brew about 2-3 cups at a time and takes 3 to 4 times to draw all the water from the maker. The 2-4 cup button is not on but we have tired it in every poistion. Same problem - brews about 2 to 3 cups from a fill of 10 cups. I have removed the bottom, disconnected hoses, made sure both hose paths were clear (blew compressed air through them, ran water through the resevoir with hose disconnected and it ran through just fine) and ran a rubber "snake" through the heating element's water path. The entire path was "free flowing" yet the problem remains?

A clean coffee maker is essential to good coffee. Residue of stale coffee oils will interfere the brewing that caused 2-3 cups only produced. It is suggest regular cleaning of your coffee maker according to manufacturer recommendation.
I took everything out, got a small piece of fine sandpaper, held the plunger in with a pencil, turned on the grinder and sanded the round top portion of the grind basket driver. It takes a few times to get a good snug fit that’s still easy to remove.
The instruction manual that came with the pot will tell you to use one cup (measuring cup) of "white vinegar" and fill the rest of the reservoir with regular water. Turn it on and let it perk the mixture through the system. Then perk a couple of pots of plain water to flush out the rest of the vinegar.
The books say to do this once a month to keep things clean and the coffee tasting great.
A professional machine that is plumbed into a water supply must be thoroughly disassembled, and each part soaked in acid, and manually cleaned. Unless your water is exceptionally hard (you should have a water softener inline with the machine in hard water areas) this should only need to be done every 5 years or so. Heads and screens and filters should be soaked every day in a cleaning solution available from any professional machine supplier. A machine that is not plumbed should have a small amount of Puly brand cleaner added to its tank, and run through several cycles every 3 months. Puly is available thru machine suppliers, but there are also several other brands that do the same. Visit your local coffee machine shop for a good cleaner.

Hope this may help;

Will not brew full pot

Base from what you've said I think better for you to return this back since it never work fine , because you pay for it so that should work good...You can try checking first again the user manual for that and do the stpes there if its still didn't work have it replace.

Good luck.......

Coffee Maker only brews 1 cup at a time

Hello. I just talked to Cuisinart and they recomended running a solution of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water through the brew cycle, then a full pot of plain water to rinse, to remove hard water deposits. The phone # to Cuisinart is 1-800-726-0190. I hope all works out for you.

Our coffee maker is only brewing half of the amount of coffee it should. Half way through the brewing, it shuts off. We've cleaned it with vinegar, but it still happens intermittently. It's actually...

Run a 1/2 pot of vinegar through it 2-3 times (I reuse it) and then run water 1-2 times to get the vinegar smell out. This cleans the mineral deposits from your water that are clogging it.

Won't finish brewing

We were having the same problem of it quitting the brew cycle about 1/2 way through. We put a mixture of 5 cups vinegar & 5 cups water through followed by a pot of just water and now it works like new. The vineagr must clean some sort of built in sensor.

Since I cleaned our Cuisinart 12-cup Brew Central with "Dip-it"  destainer last week, it takes about 3 times longer to brew, and it steams outrageously practically the whole time.  Using the same...

Run 1/3 caraffe vinegar and 2/3 caraffe water through the machine.
Dip-It is not the best cleaner to use with this coffeemaker - stick to distilled white vinegar.

If the cleaning fails to resolve the issue, and the unit was purchased in the last 3 years, call Cuisinart and see if you are still in-warranty.

My cuisinart cod 4000 doesn't use the last 2 cups of water in the reservoir when brewing. Any ideas on what would cause this and how to fix it? It is less than 1 year old.

I would go ahead and clean the unit with vinegar and water - I would use 2 cups vinegar and 2 cups water, although the manual suggests 1/3 part to 2/3. Just brew the vinegar/water like it was normal coffee. Don't forget to take out the charcoal water filter, or else it will get soaked with vinegar. Also, make sure the 1-4 cup button is not pressed, if your variant of the model has a 1-4 cup setting. Good luck!

Incomplete brew

Sometimes you have to do the decalcification two or three times. Then, monthly after that.

Cuisinart Coffeemaker Decalcification Process

Run 2 cups distilled white vinegar and 2 cups water through the system - brew it like it was regular coffee. Then run plain water through the coffemaker to rinse the vinegar out and make sure the decalcification was successful. Repeat as needed. Don't forget to remove the charcoal water filters first.

Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.
