Remote broke I have an Insignia ns-lcd26a model, my remote got wet, no big deal; my question- is there an enter button on the t.v. itself? I cant change to component 1 or component 2, which i need to watch dvd's or play video games....help if u can

You can just buy a new remote. Test it using the smartphone front camera trick. Or it is the television that has no signal, do a Power Reset. Pull the mains plug for 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button on the set for 1 minute. Plug back in. Also check the input leads on the back for whatever is supplying the signal, Cable, Satellite, OTA, then check the Source button on the remote.

It would be our please to help you with that. Here is a list of remote codes for addressing the DISH remote to an Insignia TV: 720, 000, 697, 834, 544, 538, 638. Press and hold the TV button until all mode button back lights come on,
then release. Use the number buttons to enter the Insignia codes. Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. Also remember to put the remote back in satellite mode. Thank you for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Insignia TVs are basically re-branded major brands made for BestBuy. I would try codes from the following TV brands:
LG Philips Magnovox RCA Westinghouse Polaroid
The codes from one of those should work. Also depending on which universal remote you are trying to use, there may be a scan feature on the remote itself that searches all frequencies for the appropriate one for your TV, so I would look into that. Hope that helps and good luck!

You may have missed a step in the procedure try this one. I hope this information help you with your problem. 1.- Power on with no DVD inside the player; 2.- Press open on the DVD player; 3.- Press Menu button on DVD (or SETUP on remote control), (you see General Setup Page on the screen); 4.- Press the right key 3 times to select the Preference Page; 5.- On the remote control press 9653; 6.- Use the up and down key to select the Region, Select 0 for all regions; 7.- Press Enter. (This works with NS-7PDVD and NS-8PDVD)
