I have a sony xav-622 in a new rv camper. Everything works except the connection to the sony tv on the dvd only plays in black and white. This is connected with a yellow cable with no place to put s video or hdmi

Try cd/dvd cleaning lens kit of your XAV-A1. if still it doesn't work, try opening you XAV-A1 and clean it with a cotton buds with a cleaning solution from the cleaning lens kit. if still it doesn't work, have it change a new lens from a certified technician.

Hi, thanks for posting you comment..

Sound coming out from FM and not from CD player or any other source,can not be from the connection that is if the connection is rightly connected...

You might need to check the settings of the Sony XAV-60 Car Video Player manual if there are correctly connected..

To check it, you might need to use the manual for help..

Some inputs on tvs won't process the color signal. Try one of the other inputs. Mine does the same. If u have already used the working ones on something else, U will need a switch to select one or the other available at Radio Shack if u can find one.

DVD picture is black and white
Sounds like you are either trying to play an NTSC (US or Asian) DVD on a PAL (European) TV.

Go into the DVD settings and look for picture, video or display options.

If the DVD is set to NTSC, then set to PAL.
