How do I lock and unlock the vsi joystick on a rascal 320 powerchair. The manual says to push horn twice within 10 seconds to unlock. Is the locking procedure the same?

Right to left 'chase' SHARK is in Lock mode. To unlock SHARK, press the Horn

button twice within 10 seconds. To lock SHARK, press the Power button for two
seconds then release. Hope this helps

Rascal 320. Left fully charged and working for four weeks. Currently the 'shark' illuminates left to right in sequence and then moves to all lights flash twice, pause and flash again and so on.
Turn on and push the horn button twice within ten seconds. the joystick is locked out.

Sleep mode is a built-in circuit </SPAN><span>that automatically shuts off the main power if the joystick is not moved </SPAN><span>in any direction for a period of time predetermined by controller program.</SPAN><br><p><span><b>The battery condition meter lights on the keypad indicate sleep mode by </b></SPAN><span><b>blinking once every five seconds.</b> To restore power and continue, push the </SPAN><span>on/off key twice.</SPAN><br><p><span> </SPAN><br><p><b><span>Lock Mode</SPAN></B><br><p><b><span>To unlock the VSI:</SPAN></B><br><p><span>1. This is taken from the owner's manual from the 1121 with a VSI controller:

Speed lights flash and machine will not run
Hi patriped,
Sometimes we lock our joystick by mistake.
Here is how to unlock it.
If this dosen't fix the problem you may have a bad joystick. Write me back for more info if thats the case.

My chair wont move the lite diplay shows 7 lights the joy stick feels like it is out of the sosket
If you have a vsi joystick seven bars means there is a possible joystick trip
a joystick trip is indicated . Make sure the joystick is in the center postion before switching on the VSI.
It may also be locked try this.
