We have Dish network satelite TV w/ a universal remote. how do we program the universal remote to control the tv ?

Would you elaborate further on what you are trying to do? Are you trying to program your universal remote to your DISH Network receiver or something else? If you are trying to use your Samsung TV remote, it will not work with our DISH receiver. Some universal remotes can be programmed to the receiver but you may not get full functionality with the universal remote. Our remotes are designed to allow for functionality for the TV if programmed to the DISH remote (volume, on/off). I hope this helps.

Your problem is common because there are so many products on the market these days.

That said, you can purchase one truly universal remote that will absolutely control all of your devices. Go to any TV/electronics store, even a radio shack and take a look at these. Don't be surprised by their price tags, as they are usually in the $100. range.

You need to program your dish network remote to operate your tv. Look in your big dish manual for the codes for your tv and stuff.
