Use the dropdown menu on the above website. Select 'Motherboard' for product category, Socket 478, and select your model number, P4VMM2. Then select your version number, which should be found directly on your motherboard, and click 'submit' This will begin the download for your users manual, which should illustrate the default settings for your motherboards jumpers.
Hi stan_z4, do you have the manual for you're board?
I'm showing the P4VMM2 is made by ESC = EliteGroup.
Which is not listed above (Intel D845EPI).
If you do have the board EliteGroup P4VMM2 than turn to page 11 in the user manual. The jumper for the cmos/bios JBAT1, Pins must be set to 1 & 2. If JBAT1 is set to pins 2 & 3 you will reset you're bios every time you boot up.
- you can try removing the cmos battery
- download the motherboard manual from the manufacturer? to find the jumper layout
- possibly the jumper is just 2 solder pads and not the actual jumper pins. you can short them momentarily together to get the same result as removing a jumper.
- sometimes the inside of the pc case or cover has a schematic sticker attached to give the motherboard layout.
