Me screen keeps black allthough the computer is on

It seems that your OS has registry problem. There are only two ways to fix it:

1) Re-install your Windows with Re-partition your drives (In that case you have to take backup of your all data.)

2) Start PC in safe mode and download Reginout and run its all tools to fix your OS registry.

usually hp computer have a really bad disipation design, i would thing it,s indeed the video chip, allthough you can conect a regulat screen in the back of it & if it woks fine then it might be something else.. but i bet is a video chip problem, do a reflow on it or have some one do e reflow on it or a reballing work on the video chip, or it might be cheaper to get en other system board off ebay

Your monitor has high voltage leak from one of the bulbs end to the ground. This leak is in form of an arc starting from the solder on the bulb where the wire ends and ending on the metal frame of the LCD.
The current rises and electronic protection in the inverter turns it off.
You have to take apart the monitor, then the LCD to find the broken insulation and to resolder and insolate the joint between the high voltage wire and the light bulb.

it happened may b due to inproper power supply.So check the monitor data cable & other connections also.

Disable the Screen Saver in the Display Properties from Control Panel of your Computer.

A Black ScreenSaver is active in your Display Settings. Change it to "NONE" and your problem will be solved.

CCFL backlight may be busted.. also ccfl inverter may need repair or replacement too..

Put the disk in and boot from cd when you see the splash screen.

as soon as its on, try hitting F12, it should tell you on the first screen when it flashes the POST screen as soon as you turn it on. usually F1 is to go into the bios, F12 goes into Boot selection, allthough it may be F11.

Then select " boot from CD" and hiot any key to continue, loads disk and you follow the instructions from there.

Try loading drivers for the LCD monitor.Right click empty part of desktop>>Properties>> settings It should show monitor name instead of plug and play monitor on ---- Video board.Go to Advanced>monitor>driver on this screen.
