How do I open my receiver to secure the battery?

My battery disconnects during rides and my receiver shuts down. How can I fix this?

Unfortunately the 305 appears to be glued shut. There are no screws visible and my attempts to pry it open have failed. The warranty is sadly only good for 12 months and I have had my 305 for longer than that.

I have the same probelm as this. Has ANYONE been able to open one of these devices with out damaging it.

I've had my Edge 305 for a couple of years now, and it's taken a couple of knocks. Recently it's become almost unuseable,it will just shut down every few minutes when I'm riding.

I can feel/hear something loose inside and am pretty sure if I could get in that I could at least identify the probelm and who knows maybe even fix it.

IF the receiver is still covered by the warranty perioid, get it repaired or replaced by garmin or your dealer.

I have not had one of these in my hands and i haven't taken one apart, but it can't be too difficult.
