Question about Karcher K2.26 Electric Power Washer
Posted by Anonymous on
I had a 'pulsing' Karcher K3 that I was determined to repair and ended up changing parts in order of known failure points until the problem was cured.
Firstly I changed the output elbow (Plastic and known to crack due to frost) No difference.
Then the pump head (Again, plastic and frost susceptible) No difference and expensive.
Then the input elbow (More plastic BUT comes with a small red capped valve)
The final solution for me was the small red capped valve, assessable inside the input elbow with long nosed pliers.
In reality, although an easy fix, the machines are VERY poorly made.
Good luck to all in their repair endeavors :-)

I do not have specific experience of your machine.
However, the high pressure pump will be controlled by a pressure switch on the high pressure outlet to the pipe and jet.
Pulsing (turning off) suggests that the outlet (high pressure) pipe is blocked or partially blocked. Try checking the nozzle and (with the unit turned off) clearing it with a fine piece of wire.
Hope this works
