You have a configuration problem. You should RESET your iPOD. Follow steps indicated in your User's Manual

Do a factory reset. Probably you'll lose all your files. Bad Luck. Next time copy your passwords to a notebook and keep it in a safe place.

I doubt you can repair it yourself. Take it to an apple service store.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that older model used "iPod Games" which were purchased through iTunes on your Desktop/Laptop computer.

find a electronics repair shop near your place, and let them check it.., You dont want to mess up with your ipod unless you know what you are doing...

Very, very silly move. Apple builds Mac's so why would they use windows formatting?? Search for and download a trial version of the program macdrive. This will allow you to look at drives as though they were on a mac and also format them. Plug in your iPod. Find the right drive letter for your iPod, right click on it, and select 'Format Mac Disk...' Then itunes should see your iPod and you can restore it.
