I have an HDMI hooked up from the back of my DVR box to my JVC, but the picture still doesnt look as clear as it should.. Would it have to do with how my settings are programmed? If so, how should my settings be set to get thebest picture?? thanks

LED TV takes 7-13 mins to display a picture when hooked up to cable DVR box, when hooked up w/ out DVR Does Not do that???

I would suggest you verify your cabling. Are you using HDMI cables? Connect a HDMI cable from the TV HDMI 1 to the Cable DVR Box, In the TV setup ,select HDMI 1 as source. If your Cable box does not have HDMI contact the provider for a updated box. With out the Make, Model of Box, Cable? Sat? Make, Model of TV. I don't know the connections?

How do you connect the cable to the tv? I have a dvr box but dont know where the connection on the tv is?

Cable from box to t.v , from antenna to box . If you have a hdmi cable plug into the back of the box, and plug into the hdmi input on the back or side of your t.v

I have a vip622 with hdmi hooked up. no video or audio

Hi there, my name is Mayra Diaz with DISH Network, I just ran into your post, just wanted to make sure that everything is working ok for you. Usually when this issue happens we would replace the HDMI cable first and if that would not work we would replace the DVR receiver. If you have any other questions or concerns feel free to post back.

I have a Philips DVDR 3575H. using Comcast's

Try this set up-

Use an RCA audio/video cable for this set up (Yellow/Red/White).

Connect from the Video out (Yellow) connection on the back of the cable box to the Video in on the back of the DVR.

Connect the audio (Red/White) cables from audio out connection on the back of the cable box to the "Audio in" on the back of the DVR.

This should still get you a decent picture but not a true HD picture for your recordings.

When you set the timer to record set it to record either E1 or E2 depending on which input you connected the cable box to and ensure that the cable box is tuned to the channel you wish to record.

*** NOTE: If you keep the HDMI cable connected as you have for the cable box and watch normal TV through the HDMI input on the TV you will get HD programming for your general viewing but still have the option to record with the DVR at a lower quality. ***

Good Luck and please rate this solution....
