The beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.

make sure that your RAM is securely seated

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electic extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error
hope this helps

the one you you are trying to use might be the problem faulty or might be installed properly
Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers
if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it
cnetdownload.com on the home page you should see the download software finder under that there will be a list platform, category sub category price from the category drop down list select drivers then from the price drop down list select free or which ever applies to your need or major geeks download this graphics driver this will depend on your operating systemhttp://download.cnet.com/%7Bvalue=http:/...
This is a WHQL release from the Release 260 family of drivers. This driver package supports GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, and 400-series desktop GPUs as well as ION desktop GPUs. What's new in this version: Supports the newly released GeForce GTX 580 and GeForce GTX 570 GPUs Increases performance for GeForce 400 Series and 500 Series GPUs in several PC games vs. the latest Release 260 drivers Adds ambient occlusion support for one of the most popular games of the year: Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. Ambient occlusion improves the quality of lighting, shadows, and depth perception in many parts of the game hope this helps

thank you for your help, but as you know when i put this video card in i have no picture,so i am not able to check anything that you listed, except that all my cables are secure, tried reseating video card, same result, beeps, never had an issue with drivers that were installed, can't see them when it is not installed, only see built in cards drivers, was told by another that those beeps under a phoenix bios meant corrupted video card or not seated properly, tried that,no difference, assuming card is no good. Thanks again for you trying to help.

Computer won't boot and keeps beeping until I shut it off manually. Short very quick beeps, no pauses whatsoever. Frozen at Vaio boot screen.

How many beeps do you hear? Going on assumption, you may need to replace the memory cards - making sure they are the correct type for your board and making sure that you are using memory in pairs -- Using 2 512MB cards verses 1 card,

Beaping Sounds When turning PC on

Hello,
These beeps sound exactly like that of the RAM. If you are not too skeptical about going inside your PC, you can simply remove the RAM and reseat it back firmly. Sometimes this happens that the memory loses good connectivity and would just need a reseat.

Thanks,
Lolita

Boot error / No video out

Ajit,

The beeps are usually due to RAM or key board issues.

I would try by plugging it into a VGA socket of a monitor to see if it works.

Do you have heat problems? one suggestion is to try and reset the bios to default by moving the jumper on the mobo to do a hard reset.

good luck
